It’s not my first post, but check out my first review on Engadget: the Samsung Wave S8500.

Droid X sample pictures (slide show):
Arguably, the Apple iPhone 4 and Motorola Droid X are the current flagship smartphones for AT&T and Verizon. Both are multimedia powerhouses, and feature impressive cameras, at least on paper!
I’ve been playing with the cameras on both devices extensively for almost 3 months, and the resulting pictures and videos are indeed excellent, yet there are pros and cons to each phone. More after the break…
While I was on the playa, Apple announced a new music-centric iPod shuffle nano with a touch screen. I was so intrigued that after returning to civilization I picked up the red 8 GB model.
But wait! Let’s start at the beginning…
Want more than just videos? Check out my unboxing pictures (slide show) of the Samsung Fascinate!
Expect a camera review here soon, comparing all four Galaxy S phones available in the US…
Last week Verizon sent me a Samsung Fascinate review unit, thus rounding up the US launch of the Galaxy S!
The Fascinate looks similar the Vibrant, but with CDMA instead of GSM, and an LED flash. Unlike the Epic 4G, there’s no landscape keyboard, but like the Captivate, it’s quite thin and light…
Take a look at my unboxing video and my first power on video (after the break).
charm \ˈchärm\ noun: a trait that fascinates, allures, or delights
Does the Motorola Charm live up to its name? Not so much. It’s an interesting hardware concept ruined by cost cutting and poor software.
I really wanted to like the Charm, but Motorola spoiled the fun with cheap materials, a low-resolution (QVGA 320×240), low-quality display, a 3 MP camera without autofocus (like the Devour), and the universally loathed BLUR user interface…
So I’m back from 10 days in the desert, playing and working, and I snapped a whole bunch of pictures, as usual (slide show)…
I used phone cameras for all shots, including the Samsung Memoir, the Samsung Epic 4G, and the Apple iPhone 4, with no post-processing!
While I was away, Apple launched the new iPod nano, and I received Samsung Fascinate and Motorola Charm review units (videos).
In the next few weeks. I will be attending Mobilize and CTIA here in San Francisco, so ping me if you also plan to go :)
