A few weeks ago, I received an HTC Arrive review unit from the PR people at Sprint.
It’s the first CDMA Windows Phone 7 device, and it’s the only phone to ship with NoDo (the update that adds copy/paste) – my HTC Surround is jealous :)
Take a look at my unboxing video, and follow up by reading this excellent review for more tasty info.
About a month ago, I got my dirty little hands on the HTC Thunderbolt, thanks to the lovely folks at Verizon…
It’s basically an HTC EVO 4G with LTE instead of WiMAX plus a few other improvements, and it’s the first LTE smartphone available in the US.
Check out my unboxing video, and be sure to read this great review for all the juicy details!
Last week I was in Barcelona, covering MWC for Engadget. I worked a lot and slept very little, but it was fun!

Last week I covered CES for Engadget in Las Vegas. It was a lot of hard work with little sleep, but it was also a total blast!
In addition to reporting on several of the new devices announced at the event, I was interviewed by T3ch H3lp (video), and I bumped into some hard-to-find, already released phones.

Forget the T-Mobile G2/HTC Desire Z. The HTC myTouch 4G is here – in a lovely shade of purple, no less :)
It’s a worthy successor to the Nexus One, adding HSPA+, a dedicated 2-stage camera button, and a front-facing camera, plus featuring a larger screen (3.8″ vs. 3.7″), and faster processor.
The only potential drawback is the custom HTC Sense-like UI over Android 2.2 instead of plain FroYo. Take a look at my unboxing video – I’ll have some pictures for you soon.
Recently, the friendly people at Microsoft sent me an HTC Surround review unit. It’s the first Windows Phone 7 device I’m getting some quality time with, so I’m pretty excited :)
Here is my unboxing video – pictures to follow. In the meantime, read this excellent review.
Sure, the HTC Aria is incredibly cute, but it’s also eminently capable, and this extends to imaging…
It features a camera similar (if not identical) to the HTC Hero, US version, with an 5 megapixel sensor, an auto-focus lens with macro, and no flash – read on for more!
Yes, I got distracted with CTIA and the Nokia N8 camera. But don’t fret – here are my unboxing pictures (slide show) of the T-Mobile G2/HTC Desire Z!
Look for a camera review here soon – until then, watch my unboxing and first power on videos of the G2 and read my contribution to the excellent review on Engadget…
